The hot summer days are upon us, and with the mercury rising our need to use our air conditioner is a necessity. With this need to use the air conditioning, comes the responsibility of the unit owner to be sure that they have properly serviced their unit. Not taking the preventative steps now, may result in costly repairs, not only to ones air conditioning unit, but to other unit owners in the direct path of a clogged a/c overflow pan drain, for example. I speak from experience; the unit above mine experienced this very circumstance. This resulted in water damage shorting out my 220-volt dryer outlet, and resulting in water damage to the bathroom of the ground floor unit as well. This reinforces the old saying ?“you can pay me now, or you can pay me later?”. This is just one scenario indicating the need to take preventative measures so you may enjoy a cool and emergency free summer. Remember our communities construction and design, are unique to Circle Tree and we are affected by many circumstances that may be out of our control because of a unit above us, we do not live in free standing structures, and neglect of our maintenance responsibilities affect everyone around us. Let us all be responsible and address these issues before they become problems.
