Neighbors
One of my favorite neighbors of all time is a lady named Helen. She still lives in the same house in Pennsylvania today. I bet she still is a good neighbor. She's quite a bit older than I am and
originally from Maine. So it's not similarities that really matter in
friendship and being good neighbors.
We do have many of the same interests though. She's a Christian. She's real caring. She's an animal lover. We like to spend time
together. We visited together this summer when I was in Pennsylvania. Good neighbors are concerned about each others?’ families and loved ones. It's like we're still neighbors when we're together. Friendships are like that. It's so important to become connected in people's lives. I hear people live longer when there's social connectness. I think people feel more fulfilled when they know they are important to someone else. God cares for you and wants to be involved in YOUR life.
Helen takes pride in the beauty of her yard. I often ask myself, what can I do to help people take care of their properties here? Some people do, and some don't. Why or why not, help me here. I figure everyone's property values increase in a nice neighborhood. Doesn't everyone want to have their values increase? That's money in the pocket.
