Notes From The Chief
At the CPNA August board meeting, Minneapolis Fire Department(MFD) Chief Rocco Forte came and made a presentation regarding some proposed changes in how the MFD provides service. Chief Forte has heard some critical questions about his plan to eliminate a fire truck and replace it with an ambulance at the Johnson street station (which is the first station to serve the Columbia Park Neighborhood). Although there were some concerns from the CPNA regarding this change, Chief Forte assured the CPNA Board that there was no need for such concerns and exhibited the evidence to prove it in convincing fashion. For a more comprehensive overview of the discussion with Chief Forte please contact the CPNA Community Organizer Ryan Curry at 612-578-8922, or look up the minutes of the August meeting at the Northeast Public Library where all CPNA official meeting minutes for the last year can be found.
