NRP Phase II

Feb 21, 2003

NRP Phase II
Thank you to everyone who has filled out and returned their NRP survey to us. If you have not done so yet there is still time. Mayor Rybak now says that he may not be able to fully fund Phase II of the NRP due to the current economic downturn. However, It will still be funded to some degree and we hope that your input will be a part of our process. Over the coming months we will be drawing up an action plan based upon the input that we have received, which we will then submit to the NRP Policy Board for approval. We welcome you to join us at the CPNA Board meetings (these take place at the Columbia Park Manor on 33rd and Central Avenue NE at 6:30 PM on the third Wednesday each month) and be a part of shaping our action plan for Phase II. Once the NRP Policy Board has given the CPNA approval and all official requirements have been met, then we will take the portion of the funds which are allocated to residential and home improvement and we will solicit neighborhood residents to participate in our grant and loan programs as per the action plan. If there are more interested parties than funds available we will then hold a lottery to determine the funds recipients. If you have any questions and or comment please feel free to contact us or just drop by our monthly meeting sometime.
