Getting your plants, trees, and shrubs ready for summer
After a hard freeze you will notice that a lot of your plants look dead. Before spring arrives, you can give your shrubs a light trim. Do not trim heavily though, in the event that we have another freeze. This could eventually kill the tree or shrub. In the beginning of spring is the best time to go out there and trim up all of the plants in your yard. This will allow for new growth as the weather starts to warm up. It is also a good time to starting planting new plants. The cool weather will allow good root growth to take place before the heat of summer is upon us.
