Neighborhood Meeting Minutes
March 08, 2005

Present:

Officers: Carolyn Dershem, Pat Bond, Helen Goulden, Stacy Prince

Call to Order
The meeting was called to order by Carolyn Dershem at 7:00 p.m.

Approval of the Minutes
No Approval of Previous Minutes was done

Code Violations
When reporting code violations give the exact address.
Put the phone number/web site address for reporting code violations in the neighborhood newsletter.

Increased Police Presence:
Carolyn called the Will Rogers prescient and spoke to Sergeant La Ruse. She requested that the May meeting be in the Will Rogers Meeting room (at Will Rogers Park) with Sgt. LaRuse as special guest.

Neighborhood Alliance Information
Jonathan went to a Neighborhood Alliance legal issues workshop and will give a report at the next meeting.

Neighborhood Alliance said that a ‘strategic plan’ from each neighborhood is a good idea. Kerry Humphries will head the committee.

Vote was taken to continue membership in the Neighborhood Alliance – vote passed.

Traffic Calming
Richard Lancaster will head committee. Ideas suggested:
Exit only to May Avenue on certain streets

Code Enforcement
Need a volunteer for Code Enforcement chairman
If resident is elderly and cannot maintain property the board will offer assistance.

Landlords
Involve landlords in the ‘Celebrate Spring in Crestwood Neighborhood Cleanup’
Question raised: “Why does landlord get cited when a tenant parks on the grass?”
Trolley District Grant
Signs for trolley district will go on perimeter light poles

Median Maintenance
Last year Joey ________ maintained median for $100 month from April – September. Motion granted to continue this year.

Celebrate Spring In Crestwood
Need pea gravel and mulch
Print a flyer promoting the clean up

Special Speaker
Architectural historian Jim Gabbart of the Oklahoma State Historic Preservation office spoke about historic zoning and the National Register of historic places.


Adjournment – the meeting was adjourned at 8:00 pm
