Additional Street Lights Coming to Culebra Park

Great News! The following streets qualify to get additional street lights:
Santa Cruz ?– 3 lights
San Benito ?– 2 lights
La Crecenta ?– 2 lights
Cervantes ?– 2 lights

Mr. Guadalupe Hernandez, a resident of Cervantes, had been worried about the lack of lighting in Culebra Park for a long time. He asked Councilwoman Elena Guajardo about the possibility of getting lights. Councilwoman had her assistant, Byron Gipson, to work with Mr. Hernandez on this project.

Mr. Hernandez and Byron drove down each street so that Byron could see how dark the streets are at night. Byron then reported back to Councilwoman Guajardo and she pushed to make sure we received the lights through funds available through the City budget.

Thank you, Mr. Hernandez, for taking this on as a project and making it successful. This is proof that if every resident takes an active part in our neighborhood, that change can happen.
