MEETING MINUTES
UNITY RESOURCE CENTER
May 9, 2005, 7:00AM

Present for the meeting three members.

CALL TO ORDER ?– Vice President Carlton Edwards
Carlton Edwards called the meeting to order at 7:20p.m.

INTRODUCTION, OPENING REMARKS, REVIEW OF ADGENDA ?– We are only discussing matters at hand, the last meeting minutes, and any new business information due to the attendance.

PARLIMENTARY PROCEDURES ?–
A quorum was not present. For that reason, we only discussed matters.

READING OF THE MINUTES- Concerns
The motion on the changing of the By-Laws was conducted incorrectly. Ms. Hertha read from the by-laws as it is stated. It was so noted that if we amend the By-Laws we should look at the entire document. The Financial report will be corrected from April meeting report in June.

FINANCIAL REPORT ?– Mr. Burke
This report was respectfully submitted as follows:

General Fund $18,214.09
Operating Fund $2,809.62
Scholarship Fund $15,404.47
May Balances:
General Fund $18,884.09
Operating Fund $3,479.62
Scholarship Fund $15,404.47
New Receipt:
Dues $100.00
Insurance Check $570.00

We discussed the report as it was present and have determined where the report confusion came into play. Mr. Burke has reported the Operating and Scholarship fund added together making the General Fund. We discussed that the format and report be of two account names only. Example:

SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Beg. Bal. $15,404.47
End Bal. $15,404.47
The receipts were duly noted as the $570.00 check from the insurance company was deposited, and we received $100 in dues paid since the last meeting.

Getting Bids for the grass is of highest priority

NEW BUSINESS

Ms Barbara Wright discussed that we need to have a neighborhood clean up.
