National Night Out Celebrated!

Denniston Park Neighborhood celebrated National Night Out on Tuesday, August 6th in Denniston Park with a party! Over 60 people attended including neighbors and Ward 2 Councilwoman Amy Brooks, State Representative Robert Worthen, Fire Station #14 friends, and Will Rogers Police Station Community Officer Sgt. Joann Burnett with two fellow Will Rogers Officers.
A new snow cone business dropped by the park and the neighborhood association bought everyone snow cones. They were delicious!!
Channel 5 stopped by and spent the evening talking with neighbors and guests and ran a story on their 10:00 news.
National Night Out is a national yearly event designed for neighborhoods to show support of their Police and Fire Departments by turning their porch lights on and holding neighborhood events.
This was the second year the Denniston Park Neighborhood Association celebrated National Night Out. Last years event was a neighborhood walk with neighbors meeting by Denniston Park.
