I would like to take this opportunity to let everyone know how much I have enjoyed and appreciated the efforts made by my neighbors to get and keep the DPNA going. During my initial thoughts of getting the group going again, I didn?’t plan on being president, but I thoroughly enjoyed the year. I certainly did not accomplish what we did during the year alone, in fact, I feel I did not have to put out much effort at all due to the great co-officers I had. I want to especially thank Dorothy Antwine, vice-president, for such great work during this last year. Her work on the picnic was unbelievable. She is a jewel. Sarah Rucker and Eileen de Coune did a marvelous job serving as co-treasurers and part-time secretary. Everyone made a wonderful contribution to all of our activities and it truly does take teamwork to be successful. We have accomplished some good things, the great picnic (which I hope will be a tradition), the stop signs (we are working on more), the block captains, just getting to know each other and I could go on. Thank you for making this a fun year and I look forward to working on activities. I know Luke has enjoyed his time also getting to know his neighbors and I truly believe I am instilling a good sense of community in him to follow him into a neighborhood. The following new officers are going to be awesome: Susan Johnston, Dorothy Antwine, Sarah Rucker, Walter Shields, Nancy Lange and Charles de Coune and will keep the DPNA headed in the right direction and I look forward to continued involvement. Congratulations and Thank You!! LEANN MORROW
