The second neighborhood traffic study is completed. Residents were mailed a ballot asking them to vote on a 3 way stop on Drexel and Denniston Drive, and a 4 way stop on Independence and NW 25th. Both of these sites were approved by the OKC Traffic Commission at their August meeting. Over 70 Denniston Park neighbors voted in favor of the new stop signs.
Keep an eye out for the new stops! It is very common to run new stop signs in a neighborhood until people get used to them. Neighbors living near the new stop signs should feel free to call their Block Captain or email Leann Morrow at leann.morrow@opm.state.ok.us or Susan Johnston at cardrdj@aol.com to report excessive running of the new stop signs after they have been up for a couple of months.
