Dear Neighborhood Partnership Grant Applicant,
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!
Your grant is being recommended for funding! The review team met and recommended all of the grants be funded.
So....make plans now for the following meetings. I will be at both meetings but if you have any problems before then, please call me.
First Meeting
Date: Thursday, March 1, 2007
TIme: 1:30pm - 3:30pm (Must plan on staying the full time)
Meeting Name: Neighborhood Conservation Committee/ This is a City Council sub-committee chaired by Willa Johnson, and members are Sam Bowman and Ann Simank.
Location: CIty Hall, 200 N. Walker, 2nd floor, go to the north end of the hall and tell them you are here for Neighborhood Conservation COmmittee and they will show youto the conference room.
Who is to Attend: Your neighborhood President and your neighborhood Secretary are the two that should be there. If this is a problem, call me ASAP and we can discuss alternatives. The room is small so don't bring more than two people from your nhd to this meeting.
Purpose: This meeting is two fold. First you will attend the Neighborhood Conservation Committee meeting where City Council members will put their stamp of approval on the grant review teams recommendation to fund your project. Immediately following this meeting, we will all go downstairs in the same building and sign your grant contracts. Contracts are to be signed by two membes of your neighborhood, preferably the President and the Secretary. Contact Georgie if this causes a problem.
Second Meeting:
Date: Tuesday, March 27, 2007
Time: 8:30am - 9:30am
Meeting Name: OKC CIty Council Meeting
Location: CIty Hall, 200 N. Walker, 2nd floor, Council Chambers
Who is to attend: As many from your neighborhood as you want to bring. You can bring them all if you want!!
Purpose of Meeting: The whole City Council will vote to award your neighborhood the grant funds. This is the official vote. You are free to leave as soon as the City Council votes on the item. Council members love it when you bring several people from your nhd to this meeting: your way of saying "Thanks" to them for the grant funds.
So put these on your calendar and I promise, as soon as I know who all was funded I will let you all know!!!
Talk to you soon,
Georgie Rasco
