2005 A great new start

2005 is off to a great start for Downriver Poets. First meeting was held at Wyandotte City Hall on Tues. Jan 4th. Met in basement. Attendance around 20. Food...a banquet! Also a feast of very interesting poetry. We had a few brain teasers and a touching picture of how a mother, who was always vibrant and active changes with age. Much helpful discussion also filled the evening. Our former member, Cindy, who is a playwright in New York, visited and shared a piece she has written for a play which also can be used by actors as an audition vehicle. Since we are actually Downriver Poets & Playwrights, this gave some legitimacy to our name. It was great to have Cindy along with some of our newer members with us.

Next meeting will be the third Tues of this month. Come and bring a friend.
