Aviation Parkway Tucson Arroyo Realignment Study.
Tucson Urban League presented Dunbar/Spring Neighborhood Association
with a check in the amount of $9,020.00 (paperwork and accounting to
be verified by our Treasurer).
Neighborhood Tree Planting and Trees for Tucson forms are available
NOW for planting in October. Contact Brad Lancaster at 882-9443. NOW
IS THE TIME FOR FALL AND WINTER PLANTING. THERE WILL BE A WORK PARTY
AT THE COMMUNITY GARDEN SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 23 FROM 8-10 AM.
Back to Basics Committee reports $150,000 available to install
approximately 50 antique/decorative streetlights. Your input is
requested to finalize locations of these lights at the next Back to
Basics Meeting on October 11 at Ward 1 City Council Office at 6 PM.
B2B committee also reports allocation of funds as follows:
$20,000 to build Historic Ramada and Shed at the Community Garden
$30,000 to install ADA access curb cuts / extensions
$25,000 for tree and seed planting and
rainwater harvesting/sustainable landscaping
$3,000 for art/landscaping in traffic circles
$50,000 dedicated to playground at Dunbar Project

Motion, seconded and passed for Treasurer to hold check from Urban
League until information is gathered regarding depositing the check
in a non-interest bearing account at a financial institution. This
account will require two signatures. The listserve will be used to
communicate information and input from the neighborhood with a
decision to be made one week from today.
Motion, seconded and passed for Dunbar/Spring Neighborhood Association
to write a letter of support to the Mosque located on West Speedway.
