Thank You Social Committee

Thank you Lisa Haskins, Edith Giovannetti, and Sam Downing for your hard work in putting together yet another successful summer barbecue. We appreciate all that you do and the time that you spend making the community events fun for everyone. Thanks again.

Community Update

We have had several calls with regard to homeowners concerned that the trees in the Community are dying. The trees in the Community are not dying, but they are heat-stressed. Unfortunately, the trees are young and they do not deal well with the heat. Once the temperatures begin to cool, the trees will start to look better.

The Board of Directors entered into a contract with Keesen for a tree maintenance program for $3,300. This program includes spraying, and deep-root fertilization of trees.

In the flyer that was sent to all residents, the Board of Directors asked for volunteers to build a community web site for East Bay. If you are interested in taking on this task, please contact Marilyn with Tyler Community Management at 303/232-9200 so that you can be placed on the agenda for the July 24 Board meeting.

The Board of Directors will be meeting with a surveyor on July 19 to review the property for drainage repairs. This project will be underway by the end of July 2001.

A meeting is scheduled for Friday, July 31, 2001, at 7 p.m. at the island to discuss neighborhood break ins. The speaker will be either Lt. William Negal or Captain Brian Gallagher. In the event neither one can attend, they will send another officer to meet with us. We encourage all homeowners to attend this important meeting.

Exterior Modifications

Please remember that the Architectural Review Committee must approve all exterior modifications, such as landscaping, painting, air conditioners, etc. Please submit all requests in writing to Tyler Community Management.

To obtain a Design Review Application for exterior modifications, contact Tyler Community Management.
ACH

It's not too late to sign up for the automatic withdrawal program (ACH) to pay your monthly maintenance fee. We would like to offer this program again to those that did not sign up earlier. If you would like to participate effective September 1, 2001, the form must be in Tyler Community Management's office by August 15, 2001. After that date, you must send the form in a MINIMUM OF TWO WEEKS prior to the first day of any month. Funds are automatically withdrawn on or about the 5th of each month.

Fencing

The Board of Directors will conduct drive throughs in other communities to look at fence styles, types, and materials. The Board has solicited some bids to compare pricing with different fencing materials. The Board's goal is to select the best fencing material for the money. They are looking at durability, maintenance, graffiti clean up, and replacement costs. The Board hopes to make a decision in the near future so that fence replacement can begin early fall of 2001.

Dog Waste Clean Up

Please remember that it is your responsibility to clean up after your dog. The Community Guidelines for East Bay state, "The person responsible for the pet shall prevent the pet from urinating on the lawn, shrubs, or other landscaping in such a manner as to cause damage. Solid waste deposited on the lawn or other landscaping, driveways, or other common area must be removed immediately by the person responsible for the pet." So, when you take your dog out for a walk, please take a plastic grocery bag to pick up the waste left by your dog.

Next Board Meeting

The next Board meeting will be held on July 24, 2001. If you are interested in attending, please contact Tyler Community Management for the time and location. All homeowners are welcome to attend.
