Cindy Collins, a real history buff and spouse of Jim Collins, past president of ESIA, proposed to our City Councilman Steve Cohn the establishment of a room in the Clunie Clubhouse to display our historic East Sac photos. He thought it was a great idea. Burnett and Mimi Miller and Josh and Donna Pane quickly got on board. A working committee was formed and the East Sacramento Room was born. Prominent local designer Michael Dunlavey volunteered to redesign Room A in the Clunie Clubhouse as a permanent home for our ?“Pops in the Park?” photo display as well as a place to rotate other East Sac historic materials and artifacts. Cabinetry display cases, lighting, and new furnishings will match the period of the building. The room will continue to be used for group meetings and special events. The first fund raiser was held on April 14, 2000. The grand opening celebration will be November 1 at 5 PM at the Clunie Clubhouse.
