On May 16th @ 2pm our grid, along with Grid 10, hosted a "Roll Call" for TPD at 208 W. Linebaugh. A number of neighbors attended, and I believe they and the officers who were just beginning their daily shift enjoyed interacting with each other. Refreshments were available (thank you Kellie & family!)and members of Q.U.A.D. also lingered for about 45 minutes after the roll call to chat with the neighbors.

Another "Roll Call" will be hosted at the same location within the next several weeks. And if you would like to host a "Roll Call" in your front yard, or on your block, let us know. We can set you up with the right people to make it happen!! And the police LOVE holding "Roll Call" out in the neighborhoods.

The weekend of May 22 - 25th is the official MEMORIAL DAY HOLIDAY WEEKEND, which kicks of summer. Please drive carefully, and watch out for errant fireworks.

Also, Memorial Day means that there are only 2 weeks left of this school year. Once school is out, crime picks up. (Sorry to have to say it, but the majority of the crimes around here are committed by juveniles.) So we all need to sharpen our observation skills and be ready to dial 231-6130 to report suspicious activity. But if it is "happening now!"", like you just saw someone's front door get kicked in, call 911. LET THE POLICE INVESTIGATE AND DECIDE IF IT TRULY IS A CRIME. Don't assume that the mini van in the driveway next door means that your neighbors next door have out of town company, only to find out after supper tonight that their heirloom silverware & plasma tv got heisted by what you thought was their "company".
