Eagle Lake Subdivision is a private estate community in a secluded setting, just north of Fort Collins, in Larimer County, Colorado. Developed in 1993, Eagle Lake is situated between Eagle Lake (formally Dixon Reservior) and Water Supply and Storage Reserviors 3 and 4, just north of Terry Lake. Access to the community is through either of two gated entries off of Douglas Road or Colorado Highway 1.
Wildlife thrives in this neighborhood where one can frequently see Red Fox, Deer, Coyotes, Eagles, Owls and Osprey. Canadian geese and a large assortment of ducks make their homes on Eagle Lake almost year round. Even the occasional mountain lion has been sighted along the shores.
Eagle Lake encompasses alomst 40 acres of water which is owned by the Eagle Lake Association members. The lake maintains almost a constant water level throughout the year. The association has stocked the lake with bluegill, largemouth bass and hybrid grass carp for the avid anglers in the community. During the warmer months, sailboats, kayaks, canoes and rowboats are a regular sight on Eagle Lake.
Eagle Lake Association has also retained surface rights on Water Supply and Storage Reservior 4. Developed footpaths have been installed on the west stide of the subdivision for access to this water.
