Terese Hilliard called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M..

She reported a Treasurer?’s balance of $704.11.

There was an update on the amount of trash picked up in our neighborhood, it was 28.7 tons.

Our CPO officers Jason Deary & Joe Troung reported on a large drug bust that they were working on. It was taking place at the time of our meeting and was located in the apartments on 1st St. N at about 50th Ave. N. They confiscated 2 rental cars at the time of the bust also. They also told us that their active duty of cracking down on prostitution in our area is still very active. CPO Joe Troung also reported that there was 1 violent crime to report in our area, it was an armed robbery to the Farm Store that was carried out by 2 black men in ski masks.

There is a neighborhood block party being hosted by the City on may 4th. It will be at noon at Campbell Park Recreation on 16th St S near Tropicana Field. Free Hot Dogs will be served and the City will be giving out 2 free baseball game tickets to members of associations who show a paid membership card.

Terese reported that Shore Acres School is scheduled to be rebuilt starting this summer, thereby increasing the amount of truck traffic in our neighborhood.

We also had a representative from the Supervisor of Elections that demonstrated how the new voting machines will work and allowed us to practice.

The next meeting will be 04/18/02.
