EDGEMOOR NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOC MEETING MINUTES
April 17th, 2003
Meeting was called to order by Terese Hilliard @7:30 PM.
Treasury report is $599.19.
The meeting was attended by both Jason Deary and Joe Troung our CPO?’s. Jason was informed of a hand-to-hand drug transaction that was noticed at a neighborhood home. He promised to look into this for us. Also of concern is the properties owned by Dick Martin. There are some questionable circumstances involving some of the people that he has working for him and they are being watched.
Pastor Burton of Faith Covenant Church let us know that they have withdrawn their plans to vacate Hampton Ave. They have submitted a new site plan to the EDC that allows for Hampton Ave to remain open. They will only need 2 variances for the new site plan, which will both involve the North side of Hampton Ave.
We were told that grant monies might be available through forfeiture funds. This may be an option for starting back up out newsletter publication.
Cona report-
An appeal was made for Neighborhoods to make better use of the Amber Alert System. They are trying to get it more widespread through the FDLE and the media. Federal Regulations require certain specifications to get these alerts posted. The appeal was to encourage people to agitate the FLDE to greater participation.
Meeting was adjourned @ 8:35
