EDGEMOOR NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION

Nov. 10, 2005 meeting called to order @ 6:00 PM and meeting adjourned @ 7:15 PM.

President Terese Hilliard called the meeting to order. There were 12 people in attendance.

Treasurer?’s Report was given in the amount of $768.93 with no deposits or withdrawals.
It was noted that dues are now being accepted for the 2006 calendar year.

54th Ave. NE Canal update:
Storm water drainage canal cleaning is approx. 50% complete. The City & volunteers are doing this cleaning. It was stated that the canal is NOT designated as a navigable canal. It is only for storm water drainage.

Traffic Calming:
Request to the City for traffic calming west of 4th St. N. has been approved. There will be a total of 6 speed humps installed on 3 different roads. These roads are SW Blvd., Lincoln, and Monroe.

Neighborhood Cleanup:
The 2005 cleanup for our neighborhood was cancelled due to the hurricane activity. Dumpsters were placed in our area and about 8000 #?’s of large trash was picked up. The trash cleanup for 2006 is scheduled for June 5th. Any large items and brush cut to 4?’ lengths can be placed on the curbside to be picked up by the City. There can be no hazardous materials disposed of during this time.

Neighborhood General News:
A motion was passed to have our neighborhood boundaries changed back to the original 4th St. N. to Foch St. NE. and 54th Ave N. to 62 Ave. N. This is due to the lack of participation (as required in our by-laws) by the area West of 4th St. N. to 9th St. N.
Faye Lewis is our new code enforcement person. Debbie Larson is our service rep. for codes.
Neighborhood signs need to be painted. Volunteers for this project are: Skip Hawkins, Tracy Salomone, Terese Hilliard, and Romaine Moessner. Money needs to be allocated for this project.
There will be a donation made to the Salvation Army in the amount of $100.00 for their Christmas Fund needs.
The meetings for 2006 are scheduled to be held:
Jan. 10th @ 6:00 PM (this will be an election meeting)
Apr. 20th @ 6:00 PM
July 20th @ 6:00 PM
Oct 19th @ 6:00 PM
These meetings will be held @ Faith Covenant church.
