Community Garden Plots

Do you want a garden but lack the space?

The City of Vancouver has a program for gardeners to rent garden plots for a nominal fee. In our neighborhood, there are 50 plots available in a community garden in our on Ellsworth Road 10th St. and the Good Shepherd Church on Ellsworth Road.

COMMUNITY GARDEN REGISTRATION BEGINS FEBRUARY 25

The City of Vancouver Community Garden Program begins its annual registration on Mon., Feb. 25 for returning 2001 gardeners. New gardeners can begin registering on Mon., March 4. Gardeners may register weekdays, between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., at Marshall Community Center, 1009 E. McLoughlin Blvd.

The City of Vancouver manages four Community Garden sites:

Marshall Center, 1009 E. McLoughlin Blvd., 86 plots
Campus, Campus Drive and 65th Avenue, 48 plots
Ellsworth, 10th Street and Ellsworth Road, 50 plots
Fruit Valley, 31st Street and Fruit Valley Road, 20 plots

Rates are $20 for residents who live inside the City limits and $30 for
those who live outside City limits. Senior rates (age 55 and older) are
$15 for residents who live inside the City limits and $22.50 for those who
live outside City limits.
