The split of the Elvira Neighborhood Association was an agenda item. There was a special meeting held on the 21st of August for the purpose of splitting the neighborhood at 12TH Ave.. It passed by a vote of 14 for the split and 4 against it resulting in the creation of a separate and new neighborhood east of 12TH Ave . The east side of the neighborhood from 12th Ave to Nogales Hwy were to hold another meeting on Monday September 10TH. The vote to split away from the Elvira NA was immediate and effective that night.
