Fair Oaks/Manhattan Manor Neighborhood Association

Summer is almost over, and many of us haven't seen each other for awhile. We've had vacations and visited with family far and near. But we haven't been together with our FairOaks/Manhattan Manor family this summer. So much change takes place in a short time in everyone's life, and I, for one, would love to see the rest of you and hear about how you have been and what has been happening in your lives. We have not had a social gathering in a couple of years, and we're overdue. An old fashioned fall picnic would be wonderful and we can all show off our culinary skills and any new or rediscovered old family favorite recipes with a covered dish. Perhaps we could invite some of our business community neighbors, too. Wouldn't it be fun to feed our TPD officers and Tampa Fire Rescue heroes? Maybe some of them would join us in a game of touch football or softball. (I'll keep score while the rest of you play.)
We do have a regularly scheduled Neighborhood Watch meeting coming up on October 16, 2000 at 7:00 p.m. (Boys and Girls Club). This is one of our two required annual recertification meetings, so please try to be in attendance. If you need a ride, call me at 837-6092 or email me at gmandmax@aol.com and I will arrange it. If you know of someone who needs a ride, please help them out. Don't forget to keep your ear to the ground for the ribbon-cutting date for our new library. It will be sometime in November.
