At May and June meetings, the Board approved:
?• Monthly check expenditures.
?• Scheduling a Special Board meeting on June 26 to discuss the annual budget.
?• Donating $150 to McRae Park to help support an annual Family Fun Day.
?• Spending approximately $1,200 in Business Committee Chicago Streetscaping funds for plant materials and labor to fill a limestone planter on the east side of the 4800 block of Chicago Ave.
?• Sending a letter of general support to Turtle Bread Company.
?• Appointing Herb Gysler as Community & Safety Committee Chair (as recommended by the committee) and as Phase 2 Planning Committee Chair.
?• Referring proposed Minneapolis Solid Waste Department Alley Cleanup Program to FRNNG Community & Safety Committee for its specific recommendations regarding possible implementation in neighborhood.
?• Paying Center for Energy and Environment Home Loan Marketing invoices for $380 and $375.50.
?• Making a Paint & Fix Grant of $876 to Dick Abdo, a commercial-property owner, for a new awnings at 48th & Chicago; purchasing benches for $12,570 as part of the Chicago Streetscaping project; and payment of $1,635.45 to Bachman's for installation of plants in the limestone planter on the east side of the 4800 block of Chicago Ave.-all as recommended by Business Committee.
?• Drafting the 2002-03 annual budget for FRNNG, with referral of the budget to the Executive Committee to work out differences between the budget and the individual FRNNG Committee budget projections.
?• Asking Joe Horan of NRP to move $14,205 (revised from $12,500 at the April Board meeting) into "Business Node Design" budget line to cover expenditures for purchase of Chicago Streetscaping benches and plantings.
?• Providing the Nokomis Healthy Senior Program with the FRN Neighborhood database addresses for fundraising purposes.
