Board Meeting - January 21, 2004

Feb 03, 2004

FPNA Board Meeting January 21, 2004 Minutes

Present: Jerry Woods, Greg McCollum, Jeff Van Hoosear, Diane Farley and Tom Smalley

The Board discussed the traffic study which appeared to be underway in Fisher Park in early January but which appeared to be abruptly and prematurely terminated. Jerry would contact Zed Kekula to see if he could get information as to what had occurred.

Tom would contact Regan?’s office top provide information on the officers for FPNA for 2004.

Jeff will reserve the Cabin for the General Meetings and the tentative events we have planned for 2004 including the Cabin and Jack Fisher Park for July 4.

The Board discussed the July 4 event. It was decided that Tom would search for alternate Street to engage other neighbors in the event. The neighborhood would fund a cash amount and possibly a bounce house for the kids and port-a-potty. As an alternative, we would seek to reserve Jack Fisher Park for that day. No determination was made.

New Neighbor Packet: Diane volunteered to coordinate the New Neighbor packet with help form the other Board members who would contribute information or materials.

The sign-painting project was discussed. Greg volunteered to talk with Eric Rosenberg about the possibility of a Boy Scout troop doing the painting in exchange for a $100 donation to the troop (FPNA would buy the paint and supplies).

In order to increase participation, it was decided that a raffle for some prize would be given away at each General Meeting. Tom volunteered to obtain a coupon for dinner at the Wyndham Hotel for the raffle at the next General Meeting. The raffle would be announced in the flyer to be distributed the weekend before the meeting. The flyer would also announce the election results and a calendar of events for 2004. As possible speakers for this year, Greg would contact Regan?’s office. He will also contact the Discovery Science Center as to the possibility of having a FPNA meeting at the Center.

The next Board meeting was changed to February 4 and will be at Diane Farley?’s house.
