As the new year gets underway I would like to thank each of you for the generosity of your time and energy to make our neighborhood a better place to live.
Security of our neighborhood and its residents is a top priority. Each of us can play an important part. It?’s as easy as attending neighborhood meetings or keeping an eye out for suspicious activities when walking the neighborhood. I would encourage those interested to join the Citizens Alert Patrol. For more information on the CAP program or what you can do to help secure our neighborhood call Bill Robison at 746-0646.
Many of our neighborhood projects were completed in 2002.
We established a stop sign on the corner
of Florence Place and 22nd Street.
Attractive Florence Park South signs were
placed at each entrance to our neighborhood.
Alert Neighbors signs were also posted at
each entrance.
Our fund drive for the 2002 block party was
an outstanding success.
With the city?’s help, we are finally seeing
some improvements made to abandoned
properties.
We added new residents to our growing
association membership
We worked with the city to have large
capacity dumpsters delivered and made
available for all our residents.
As you can see, 2002 was a great year for getting things accomplished. And with the help of all our members, 2003 will be even better!
Have a wonderful year!
