FACTS OF LIFE
Hi, Jose:
I had a great laugh reading "three guys talking". Although a bit reserved because of my children. Will it sound corny if I thank you for it?
I found my eldest reading and laughing his head-off at the joke. A bit embarrassed at first, it was the first time that my son and I had a good open and honest conversation on the adult level. I was totally shocked knowing what he knows and does. At fifteen, he is maturing way faster than I expected and want him to. That night I faced my emotions. as I realized how much they have missed a father figure in their lives and that soon they will leave the nest.
As you know, I am a single mother of two. All this time, I have totally concentrated in working hard, day and night, to provide good room and board for my children. Somehow I feel like I missed a step. I am not ready for this part of motherhood in which I have to play the roll of a father too. At times, I feel out of touch, out of time and out of gas. Sometimes we have the choice to pretend that all is well or face the fact head on, this in one of those times.
Jose, thank you for publishing my previous email and also for the positive influence you are in our community. Please, keep the good work. Although nasty at times, it does well when facing the facts of life with a laugh.

Dear Margarita
I am so proud of you and the work that you have done with your children, soon to be young men. It is just amazing! Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us, your neighbors. I strongly encourage you to continue being involved.
