Petition for permanent No Parking Street Sweeper Signs 35% completed, so far. Need 75% of signatures for Wightman St. to have permanent street sweeping signs.
FACELIFT 2004: Flyer passed out, and discussion of recipients report. Given by Jim Varnadore who briefed meeting on the following criteria that is necessary to proceed.
1) homes (low income)
2) $$money$$
3) team, workers
Looking for12 to15 homes needing exterior paint, cleanup, and landscaping.
Search Wightman Street for homes. Find 1 & 3 above then #2 will come!!!

Elise w/Jim Madaffer’s office RE: Euclid Elementary School grant $$.
Also Rosa Parks Elementary won grant for school X-ing signs, and safety issues. Each grant is $445,000.
Field closures: City residents to share w/schools or rotate field use to save maintenance costs, etc. Community discussion is inevitable.
Memo from Council: $900,000 towards acquisition of park space in Fox Canyon, Proposition 40.
Council Districts 3, 4 & 7 involved.
Hire local people to perform work

The Planning Committee will meet on 27 Jan.04
Fox Canyon’s position (decided by vote at meeting) is to bullet
NO MULTI / SUB LEASING clause only.
The Developer / Owner has changing ideas as to the residential and business ratio of Elichondos.
The City Council will discuss parking and traffic issues for the Euclid Ave. property divided by T.Atkins & J.Madaffers districts.
*A lively and interactive long discussion was held on the above.
