History in the Making:
The origin of the naming or this neighborhood FOX CANYON was inspired by a resident family of FOXES seen in the canyons within the Fox Canyon Community. Once confirmed by the chatter of local residents (human) that they too had seen a couple of furry foxes and their off-spring dashing among the cacti that line the canyon beds, the name seemed more than appropriate.
The fox in its own right is a symbol of craftiness and by naming our neighborhood after these "CRAFTY" little creatures we seek to establish a family of residents willing to use both creative and resourceful measures to preserve our neighborhood together as a single family housing, to preserve the open natural beauty of our canyons and to enhance Fox Canyon's potential of becoming the community of choice within City Heights.
