The reality of our life is that in many places Fox Canyon does not have a decent sidewalk to walk upon. The neighborhood is sidewalk deficient. Present stock is in urgent need of repair and new needs to be built.
This ugly reality is the target of the Neighborhood Association's work.
Councilmember Judy McCarty (retired) granted and present Councilmember Madaffer implemented ALL the sidewalks on the WEST of lower Auburn Drive (from Loris, pass the Pork Chop, onto the upper Auburn bend), please check the "Auburn Drive SIDEWALKS" page bellow and see the picture.
This year Thanks to a CDBG grant from Councilmember JIM MADAFFER, the residents of east lower Auburn can now enjoy a walk (at least this stretch of road from the telephone pole to where awaits the Ontario Avenue extension) on the safety of a brand-new sidewalk, gutters and protective chainlink fence.
The quest continues to ask for grants to build sidewalks along all east lower Auburn to Loris Street and on the east of Euclid. For this, we need your strong support and attitude to move your front fence to where the property line should be. Humbly, do it for the benefit of all those poor souls in need to walk the streets on the way to the bust stop.
In your spare time, come and see the accomplishments of our handiwork, the help of our friend, and walk the sidewalk in brotherhood with your neighbors.
