An Update on Pool Rules

Summer is here, and we have a new key-operated gate to reduce nonresident traffic. This will help reduce traffic and create a more enjoyable experience for those who live in our community.

You can review the rules in the Franciscan Terrace Community Handbook, available at no charge from Home Realty (704.331.1144).

Please remember the following rules:

1. There is no lifeguard on duty, so please be careful and swim at your own risk.

2. All children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult homeowner or resident.

3. Homeowners are allowed a maximum of three guests at the pool. The homeowner must accompany all guests.

4. For swimmers' safety, no glass containers are allowed at the pool. Please put any beverages in a plastic cup or plastic water bottle.

5. Pets are not allowed at the pool.

6. Please do not tamper with the skimmers or other pool equipment.

7. For safety, no running, pushing, wrestling, ducking, diving or other horseplay is allowed.

8. Frisbees or ball-playing is not allowed.

9. To ensure everyone's enjoyment, please limit the use of floats when the pool is crowded.

10. Please wear proper bathing attire. Cut-off jeans are not permitted.

11. Nude sunbathing is not permitted.

12. Smoking is permitted; however, please use the ashtrays provided (they are usually on the table next to the entrance of the clubhouse).

13. Please do not litter. Trash cans and recycling bins are provided next to the entrance of the clubhouse.

14. Only battery-operated electronic devices are permitted. Please bring headphones.

15. Pool furniture is the property of Franciscan Terrace and cannot be removed or borrowed from the pool area.

16. Repeat violators must relinquish their key and will lose all pool privileges permanantly.
