Hello Neighbors:
Happy 2004! We hope that the New Year is finding you healthy, happy and warm during this cold month of January!
With thoughts of Spring, warm weather, and outdoor fun on the horizon, the following information is timely regarding plans for a park in our neighborhood...
Murrysville Council will be having a meeting on WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 21, 2004 at the Borough Building beginning at 7:00 p.m. One of the topics for discussion is the written proposal that was submitted by IDC regarding the future development of Franklin Estates. As you recall from previous newsletters, there was discussion of IDC's plans for the next phase of development, but never a formal written proposal. Now, however, this formal written proposal was received by Council.
The written proposal notes that 40 acres between Jefferson and Lexington will be reserved as greenspace. Additionally, a 3/4 acre lot at the end of Mount Vernon by Jefferson will be reserved for a park. Money will be made available for playground equipment and a sidewalk leading the park.
It sounds like a really great plan and appears to meet our desires of greenspace and a park area. More details will be unfolded at the Council meeting. Please consider attending the Council Meeting to learn more on this latest development!
Sincerely,
Monica Diacopoulos
