Neighbors,
Just a reminder that the Halloween parade is this Sunday at 2:30 p.m. The weather is forecasted to be warm, so we look forward to having a great time gathering our kids together outside for an afternoon of fun!
As a reminder, if you haven't yet RSVP'd, but are wanting to participate in the parade, please just show up! We just ask that you bring a snack of some sort to share with the others. Typically, enough for 6-12 people is plenty. Kim D'Onofrio, who lives at the end of the cul-de-sac (3014 Lexington Court -724-325-1213), has offered her home as a drop-off point in the event that you want to drop off your food prior to the parade on Sunday. Also, please note that this phone number for the D'Onofrios is a change to the what is listed in the latest FERA directory.
Again, adults are asked to bring folding chairs, if you plan on staying for awhile; as well as your beverage of choice. We hope that the change of day for the parade (from the previous tradition of holding it prior to trick-or-treating on Halloween night) will allow for more relaxed festivities without the rush of heading home for trick-or-treat & dinner. We hope that the issue of where the parade is hosted will be lessened by having the parade on a different day where transportation issues won't be such a concern with some of our neighbors. Thank you again to the Lexington Court neighbors for allowing us to use their street on Sunday afternoon! With our growing neighborhood, the cul-de-sac provides a nice large, safe area for us all to gather.
Look forward to seeing you all then! Don't forget that if you don't have kids or grandkids participating, please come out as a spectator & enjoy the post-parade gathering!
Regards,
Monica Diacopoulos
