Pool Key

Posted in: Sunrise at Parkwood Ranch
We currently have a pool key but it does not work anymore. Although the summer it worked fine and now it does not. I was told that it would cost $50 for a replacement key. I did not lose my key it does not work. I have complained to the HOA and they have not helped out at all. I am not paying $50 for a key when I have one but it does not work, any suggestions.

I do not live in your community but perhaps you could attend a board meeting and ask for a replacement key or how you could go about getting one.  Do you know who your management company is?  Perhaps that is the route to take?  Just a couple suggestions.  Good luck.

who is your HOA, or what community/ have you escalated the situation, and have you read for any disclaimers that may RID them of the responsibility of covering the cost for replacing your pool key!  Additionally what about your neighbors do they still use their old keys or were they required to purchase new ones.  It seems as though if yours no longer works that theirs wouldn't either.  If thats the case did they pay for a replacement. etc.   Im totally on your side, but now a days you have to fight and fight for the things your entitled to.  I know it takes time to get resolutions on things so if you don't have any other time to fight it just provide more info here and I will see what I can find for you during the time I have available.

GOOD LUCK!

PSS.

IS IT A REGULAR KEY OR LIKE A MAGNETIC CARD KEY.

IN MY OLD COMMUNITY THEY HAD CHANGED THE CODE TO MAGNETIC KEYS

but we were advised of that and our card simply had not been updated in the system.  Also due to the updates to the codes, for all of those that were currently BEHIND on dues; were not able to have their card keys updated; until they payed.  Which I can see both sides, but not really, as if you miss your house payment, it doesn't mean you can't use your pool in your own backyard.  It seems as though they run things in a manner that is totally different than what HOAs were originally intended for.
