Wednesday, June 19 -- Theft from motor vehicle.
Between 9 p.m. and 11 a.m., unknown suspect(s) tried, but failed, to pry open the lock on the passenger side door of a vehicle parked in the driveway of a residence on the 5600 block of Irving in Kenny. The suspect(s) then broke out the rear window of the vehicle and took an amplifier and subwoofer, with a total value of $1,750, from the back seat. A stereo deck valued at $400 was damaged when the suspect(s) tried, but failed, to remove it from the dash.
Wednesday, June 19 -- Narcotics violation.
At about 3:20 p.m., police were dispatched to 5736 James Avenue South in Kenny to secure the scene of a potential methamphetmaine lab. In plain view of the open garage door, officers could see drug paraphernalia and suspected narcotics. The narcotics field-tested positive for methamphetamine and was property inventoried. The Bomb Squad and the Fire Department were called to the scene and a search warrant was drawn up and served.
Tuesday, June 18 -- Indecent exposure.
At about 9:30 p.m., a male suspect approached a 30-year-old female at 47th and Beard and told her that he was going to show her a picture of a lost dog he was looking for. The suspect then exposed himself to the victim, who immediately left the area and called 911.
Monday, June 17 -- Stolen property.
At about 8:45 p.m., a 14-year-old male suspect was found riding a stolen bike at 56th and Penn in Armatage. The suspect was booked in the juvenile detention center and the bike was property inventoried.
Friday, June 14 -- Garage burglary.
Between noon June 14 and 8 a.m. June 15, unknown suspect(s) entered a garage on the 5100 block of Bryant in Lynnhurst via the open overhead door and took five bikes with a total value of $1,070.
