New Officers Elected to G.L.N.A.

The annual General Membership meeting of Gaffney Lane Neighborhood Association (GLNA)
was held on Thursday, November 18, 2000, at Gaffney Lane School. As per GLNA's by-laws, the
main purpose of this meeting was to elect new officers to represent GLNA for the upcoming year.
The new officers are:
* Derrick Beneville serves a third term as Chairman. He is very active not only within GLNA
but also is Chairman of the Citizen Involvement Committee Council (made up of officers from
neighborhood associations throughout Oregon City). He is a certified Neighborhood Emergency
Response Team (NERT) member who will help coordinate Gaffney?’s team in case of an
emergency. Derrick is also a member of the NERT steering committee, the Tri-City wastewater
expansion citizen task force and a member of the City Budget committee.
* Returning for a third term as Vice-Chair is Shelly Alway. Shelly also heads GLNA?’s Land
Use committee and is a certified NERT team member.
* Janet Brand was re-elected to the Secretary position. Janet has been a Steering comittee
member for 3 years and also heads the Fundraising committee.
* Michele Beneville rounds out the board as Treasurer for GLNA. Michele also produces the
neighborhood newsletter.
In addition to elected officers, members-at-large were elected as Steering committee members
and include: Kristine Aldrich, Debbie Anderson, Gerri Benski, Audrey Hall, Brenda Heinsoo,
Susan Murren, Sue Moullet, Carolyn Orlando and Joan Schultze.
