At the March general membership meeting, see the Neighborhood Association in action as we provide
a discussion platform for a neighborhood issue.
The School District has requested that a pathway connecting Meyers Road to Castleberry Loop be re-opened for students who are walking from Pioneer Ridge Apartments to Gaffney Lane School.
The District discontinued bus service to the apartment complex recently due to growth in the area and because it is within one mile of the school as mandated by the State.
A couple years ago, neighbors surrounding the pathway petitioned the City to have the right of way closed for security and safety reasons. Since then, the pathway has been closed off and camouflaged so you don?’t know it?’s there.
After the discussion at the March meeting, GLNA plans to vote and send a recommendation to the City, which has the final decision.
