While renovations to the Carnegie are underway the Book Corner has been relocated to the lower level of the Pioneer Center. The entrance is on Washington Street, just north of the intersection with 5th Street.
Operated by the Friends of the Library, the Book Corner is a first-rate used book store operation featuring items that have been removed from the library?’s collection (age, condition, lack of use or new editions are the usual causes) along with donations from the public.
With the move to the Pioneer Center there?’s more space for books so the selection is larger than ever. Most paperbacks are 50 cents; most hardbacks are $1.00. There?’s lots of ?“special?” items too and they?’re priced only slightly higher.
The Book Corner is open Monday-Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
