* Amtrak Station in Oregon City
Design is underway for the Amtrak Station to be located across from the End of the Trail Interpretive Center. Urban Renewal funding will be used for part of the project. Federal matching funds are being sought to fund 50 percent of the project. The platform is currently scheduled to be available for the train to stop in November 2001.
* Hillendale Park Improvements
New ball fields, a walking trail, and parking lot have been designed for Hillendale Park. Construction was delayed because of complications with the required wetlands. * Washington Street/Abernathy Creek Bridge
The Environmental Assessment (EA) report evaluating design alternatives for the bridge

* Clackamas River Drive Water Line Replacement
Construction will be starting on a water line replacement on Clackamas River Drive north of Forsythe. The project includes installing four fire hydrants (none exist today) and replacing the undersized 1?½-inch water line with an 8-inch water main. Questions? * Falls View Enhancement Project
Construction is underway on the beautification and plaza project at 5th and 99E. A viewing area will be constructed that features historical information, benches, and a terrific view of the Willamette Falls. The project is being funded by Urban Renewal and ODOT and in-kind service contributions for design work (Sisul Engineering) and landscaping (Jerry Hermann and the Earth Crusaders). Questions? * Main Street Tree Replacements

* Transportation System Plan (TSP)
A copy of the TSP is available at City Hall and the Library for community review. Public hearings at the City Comission will be held in March. The plan will prioritize future capital projects for roads, sidewalks, and bikeways and identify funding sources for our transportation infrastructure. * Molalla Avenue Improvements
Public hearings to adopt the Molalla Avenue Improvements Plan will be at the City Commission in March. The proposed plan includes wider sidewalks, bike lanes, landscaping, access controls, intersection improvements, and re-striping for dedicated left turn lanes. The goal for Molalla is to make it safer, more pedestrian friendly, encourage use of alternate transportation modes, and maximize its capacity for vehicular traffic.
