Gaffney Lane Neighborhood would like to thank Berry Park Retirement Center and Drake?’s Seven Dee?’s Garden Center for their support.
A community service idea evolved through several general membership meetings to place a bench somewhere along Gaffney Lane between Burgerville and Berta Drive for those who walk to and from Fred Meyers. Berry Park Retirement Center at 13669 Gaffney Lane was a logical place to locate
a bench because they are along the sidewalk and the property corner is at the crest of an
incline. The neighborhood association approached Bud & Margaret Dudley, the managers at the center. They embraced the idea and took it upon themselves to add two benches along Gaffney Lane.
Drake?’s Seven Dee?’s at 16519 SE Stark was kind enough to provide hanging baskets at wholesale cost to the neighborhood association to use for our plant sale fundraiser in May.
Without the contributions of businesses, GLNA could not be a strong presence in our
neighborhood.
