Summary of Year End Library Activity
For the 12-month period ending June 30, the Oregon City Public Library:
?· loaned 522,000 items
?· processed 120,000 inter-library loans
?· responded to 32,000 reference/information inquiries
?· processed over 11,000 additions to the collection and 6,500 withdrawals
?· provided 537 programs to 4,918 children
?· registered over 3,000 patrons
The Oregon City library now has over 24,000 actively registered patrons and a State
recognized service area population of 49,000 (O.C. and the rural area to the east and
south).
In addition to the above, the library maintains for public use: 9 Internet stations, 12 catalog terminals, 1 PC, 2 microform reader printers, 2 photocopiers, 1 Self-Check station and a typewriter.
To assist the City in running the library, a seven-member Library Board advises on policy and development issues. Board members are: Kim Willson-St.Clair, Martin Engel, Elaine Hill, John Schilke, Cheryl O?’Donnell, Anne Donelson Oberg and Marty Wallauer.
