There have been numerous questions asked about what needs to be approved and what is the process when making additions to the outside of our homes here at Glenmuir.
There is an ARB request form that is available from Tony Morton at Sutherland Management at 407-774-7262 x110, and also here on the website in PDF format, so you can print a copy and mail it to their office.
But when do you need to make this request? The easy answer is... anytime you are considering any changes to the outside of your house or yard. If you are going to put in new landscaping (other than annuals in existing beds or replacing existing landscaping), add a fountain, add a lighting fixture, put in a pool, fence, screened patio, recreational equipment, etc... send in the request so the ARB can review it and approve it before you begin.
The upside is that our ARB, staffed with volunteers from our neighborhood, are acting very quickly on all requests now so you won't have to wait long for your answer. The downside is if you go ahead and make the change without getting approval first, you may have to reverse all your changes at your expense if the change is denied.
