The Good Old Lower East Side Thrift Shop has been an establishment in Loisaida for the past 5 years. The purpose of our thrift shop is to help independently fund our organization, to provide a place for recycling goods, and to offer employment for community residents.
Our thrift shop provides affordable clothing, goods, and furniture. Besides the everyday low prices, we always have color tag sales on selected clothing.
Our thrift shop is a member of the Association of Charitable Thrift Shops (ACTS). As members of this association, we meet at least 3 times a years to exchange ideas, and to introduce new members. Recently our thrift shop joined with some of the other merchants in Loisaida to form the Lower East Side Merchants Association. We meet every second Thursday of each month.
