Sound Barrier
The current plans for a sound barrier beyond what the area cleared and part of the current Westport interchange are planned but at present unfunded by the state. The City Council is well aware of this and will work to have it inclused and funded in the project for wideming the Watterson in the future. |

Sound Barriers - further info
I discussed the Watterson / Westport Interchange Sound Barrier plan with the Project Manager in Frankfort this week. His current working plan provides Sound Barrier protection for virtually all of our City. However, this & other recent changes to the Interchange project have NOT been officially approved by the Transportation Cabinet. The next review will take place sometime after the November Elections. We will keep you posted and provide more details once the revised Sound Barrier Plan is approved. Michael Doyle |
