Here are some new neighborhood updates.

The Greater Strathmore Neighborhood Association will sponsor a
"Meet the Principals" Event on Tuesday, September 30 (7:30pm) at Most Holy Rosary Parish Center. The Principals from Roberts School and Corcoran High School will be there to meet with neighbors and parents. The quality of our schools is connected to the vitality and stability of the neighborhood. As other school representatives have spoken at Greater Strathmore Neighborhood Association meetings before, we look forward to having Corcoran's Brian Nolan and Roberts' Joanne O'Shea with us on Tuesday.

Soccer fans have spoke out. Corcoran Boys Soccer games are also held in Corcoran's new athletic stadium. The team is much-improved and ranks amongst the best with a
7-3 won-loss record. They have two home games left: On Tuesday, October 7 vs Cicero-North Syracuse at 6:00pm and on Tuesday, October 14 vs. Fayetteville-Manlius at 6:00pm. The new athletic campus is a big asset to the neighborhood and the student-athletes always appreciate your support.

On Monday, October 20, Syracuse Mayor Matthew Driscoll will have a Town Meeting at Roberts School. More details to come.

The Parks Run 3 turned out to be a great day. The weather was perfect and it was great to see so many neighbors (and visitors) in attendance. Thanks to everyone that volunteered, participated, and/or cheered on the athletes .

Regards,
John DeMott - Greater Strathmore Neighborhood Association
