Art on the Porches
A New Strathmore Tradition
The Greater Strathmore Neighborhood Association, the Cultural Resources Council and the generous homeowners on Stolp Avenue and Beverly Road are proud to present, Art on The Porches.
The streets in the Strathmore neighborhood will be alive with Art and Music on June 14th from 10 am to 4 pm.
Over 40 Syracuse artists will show and sell their work on the front porches of the lovely historic homes on the 100-200 blocks of Stolp Avenue and Beverly Road. Four city blocks will be closed to traffic for a street faire style event. Musicians, Renaissance street theater performers, dancers, singers and actors from around the globe are coming to perform for audiences of all ages. It will be an afternoon filled with engaging street comedy and talented solo musicians. Some of the most creative and well known artists in the Syracuse area will be displaying their work along with student work and that of the many artists who live in Strathmore. There will also be a light lunch menu available at the Stolp Avenue Caf?©?’. This is the third year that the Greater Strathmore Neighborhood Association has hosted this unique show. The Strathmore neighborhood with its panoramic views of the city, the large historic homes and porches and surrounding the inspiring Upper Onondaga Park is a natural setting for this event.
Art on the Porches is put on in cooperation with the Strathmore By The Park Tour of Homes. Five beautiful homes will be open for tours guided with historic references from the Onondaga Historical Association.
