  • Trash Removal
    • Trash Pick-Up:  The City trash pick-up day is Tuesday.  Trash must be set out prior to 7 a.m. on the day of pick-up.  Please refrain from putting trash out the night before as there are animals in the neighborhood that tend to disrupt trash bags and scatter debris that must be cleaned up you.
    • KC Recycles: The City curbside recycling program pick-up day is Tuesday. Participation requires the use of a recycling bin. This is required, because it signals the truck to stop. If you would like an extra bin, or need a replacement bin, please visit your local participating Westlake Ace Hardware or Price Chopper store. Bins are $9 each. For a full list of what can be put in the container is easily found on the www.kcmo.org website.
    • Yard Waste Pick-Up:  Free yard waste pick up is usually provided by the city twice each year, in the spring and again in the fall.
    • Yard Waste Disposal:  Greenhaven has two Clean Sweep dumpster days that is available to paid Greenhaven Resident.  Please refer to the Dumpster Program information.  Also, the city has a collection site located just south of the Missouri River at 1815 N. Chouteau Trafficway (Map and directions) that is open Saturday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. from March 13 through October and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. from November through Jan. 15.
    • Bulky Item: The City's no-charge appointment based Bulky Item Collection Program is for disposal of large household items that cannot be handled in the regular weekly trash collection.
      • To make an appointment for the collection of bulky items, please contact the City's 3-1-1 Action Center. Call 311 or (816) 513-1313 to reach the 3-1-1 Action Center. Or online using the Online Bulky Scheduler
        • Appointments must be made at least 48 hours in advance
        • Collections will not be made without an appointment
        • Items must meet guidelines for large item collection. The following is a list of acceptable items, for a full list go to www.kcmo.org
          • Refrigerators, freezers and air conditioning units 
          • Metal appliances such as stoves, dishwashers, washing machines, dryers, water heaters, and furnaces 
          • Furniture such as couches, tables, chairs, TV's, beds, mattresses and metal furniture 
          • Other items such as bathroom fixtures, cabinets, rugs, garage doors, lawn mowers, railroad ties, disassembled swing sets and metal fencing 
          • Storm windows and glass panes. To help prevent injury, place a large "X" of masking tape across glass panes to prevent shattering and stack them separately from other bulky items.
