Member BJ Jones announced that gas cards were approved for COPS
President Robinette discussed her “ride around” on a police shift as completion of COP certification (and proudly displayed her ID and certificate)
The deed for the pool was signed over to the city altho there are still details that must be ironed out
The family memorial is legal on Marbach and until City Council changes ordinances it will stand, the board acknowledges the family’s grief.

New Business announced HNA now has 102 members up from 10 paid members a year ago
Elections for the new 2008-2009 year are in September…Vice President Criado is withdrawing her name
Mark Osar web master discussed the site areas available on site. city sites available and that utility bills could be paid online CPS/BexarMet/SAWS
President Robinette discussed a privately printed publication that would be directed to Heritage neighborhood without charge and would carry news items for the association free
Yearly dues $36 per household is due for 2008-2009 can be divided if necessary
SAHA rep Gary Baxter spoke to an attentive membership and acknowledge the concerns and problems that the citizens felt and or were dealing with…The organization deals with 13000 section 8 houses…528 in the area and 100+ in Heritage..he encouraged to get license plate #’s for problem homes.
Mario Espinosa investigator (477-6216)to be called for problems…due to the fact of absentee landlords there is a high number of complaints w/o resolution…SAHA knows there are many problems, they are trying to find solutions…there is an orientation for each family receiving sec 8 then a yearly checkup…
Many of the members voiced concerns regarding upkeep and unusual activity in the homes…they were advised to notify SAHA
SAAFE Officer Kilmer reported 2 taggers have been caught and the graffiti has been reduced 53 citations have been issued to drivers due to the “stealth “police car, felony warrants have increased
Councilman Cortez made an appearance and gave an update on city spending…his district is the only district to pass out gas cards. He answered concerns and questions from the membership..
President Robinette thanked all the presenters and the meeting was adjourned, approved and seconded.
