Meeting came to order/Pledge of Allegiance
Introduction of Guests: - Code Enforcement Officer Rick Ayala; SAPD SAFFE Officer M. Kilmer; SAPD SAFFE Supervisor West side SAFFE Unit, Sgt Bruce Clark; Constituent Rep for State Rep Jose Menendez, Jeff Peterson; Constituent Rep District #4, Ray Garza, and Guest speaker SAPD Officer Rosalinda Vasquez, Commander West Side Patrol,.
Newcomers welcomed and informed they can join the HNA for one year at half price for $18.00 if they have not been a member of the HNA for the past five years.
B. Robinette read treasurer’s report and HNA meeting minutes from January 22, 2013. Both accepted.
There was a Special Recognition of Businesses who supports the annual Heritage NNO (National Night Out) event.

Dwight and Sylvan Lutz – Crystal Clean Car wash & Storage facility
Recognition of Volunteers
Art Mendez for power washing of graffiti

Old Business:
Community Yard Sale – Mar 23rd with rain date Apr 6th. Volunteers needed to pass out flyers for yard sale. Calls for reserving a space will start on March 4th and end Mar 20th
Cost for a space is $15.00. Volunteers for this event can have a space for free.
Hunt Lane update – opening of bids began Feb 20th. A contractor should be selected and began work soon. An update will be given at March HNA meeting.
SAWS ordinance became effective February 18, 2013 – Stage 2 – 4: watering times on your date 7-11 a.m. and 7-11p.m., washing of vehicles on Saturday and Sunday without waste of water.
Membership drive plan was discussed to include continuing half-price membership for one year for those who attend an HNA meeting and are eligible to join for half price; door to door meeting with residents; fliers in local businesses; information of HNA website; PTA meetings and others.
Richard Zagrocki, chairman of the new Yard of the Month committee (YOMC) will be meeting with the YOMC to discuss when YOM will start and the type yard sign and what other recognition
winners may receive.
Wilma Johnson will be contacting pond walkers on the days and time the walkers will meet. If interested contact the HNA at 675-5935. Parks and Recreation has been contacted to measure distances around the park to place signs showing how many times around the park add up to a certain distance.
New Business:
The March HNA meeting will be held Tuesday, March 26th. Guest speaker will be Kathy Davis, Director of the City of San Antonio Animal Care Services .
HNA National Night Out event will be held Oct 1st. A brief overview of the NNO Plan was discussed.
Guest Speaker: SAPD Captain Rosalinda Vasquez gave a brief talk about the Westside Patrol Unit. The Westside unit is the largest in San Antonio. Officer Kilmer gave some statistics on what is happening in Heritage. The Captain opened up the meeting for questions and answers. A lot
of dialogue was exchanged and the meeting was fruitful for all.
Councilman Saldana made an appearance and spoke briefly to the membership
